Okay, okay, I already missed my second Sunday, but I get to make the rules! Here's an old favorite:
The Cat's on the Roof
So, this guy is watching is sister's cat for her while she's on vacation. She calls one afternoon to ask him how the cat's doing, and he says "oh, sorry, the cat's dead." "What!" she cries, "you can't do that!" "What do you mean?" he asks. "Well, you have to break news like that to me slowly. You know, give me a chance to get prepared. For example you could have said today that the cat's on the roof and we can't get him down. Then, tomorrow, you could tell me the cat fell and we had to take him to the vet. Then the next day that the cat wasn't doing well. Then, finally, after a few days, you tell me the cat died. Then I'd be prepared for the bad news. Geez!" "Oh, okay, sorry," says her brother. "Well, gee, anyway, how's grandma?" "Oh," says the brother, "grandma's on the roof and we can't get her down."
